Have you seen this viral hit of a beautiful “fake” graffiti by Damascus born, Dubai based artist Tammam Azzam? We call it “fake graffiti” because it is a photograph manipulation. Azzam has made a super-imposition of Gustav Klimt’s iconic “The Kiss” on a photograph of a wall in Syria that is riddled with bullet holes from the ongoing conflict in the country. “Freedom Graffiti” is part of an ongoing series the artist is working on responding to the struggles in his war-torn home country. He has made a beautiful looking image with this work. Find out more about Tammam Azzam and his recent exhibition at Ayyam Gallery, “Syria”.
